Social Media Management

Account Setup & Optimization

Your social profiles are often the first thing a new customer checks. We set them up or clean them up so a visitor understands what you do and how to reach you within seconds, and so your business, not a former employee or agency, owns every account.

What account setup and optimization covers

Account setup and optimization is the groundwork under every other social media activity. It means creating business profiles where you don’t have them, and fixing the ones you do: the name and handle, bio, profile and cover images, contact buttons, links, business category, highlights and the admin structure behind the scenes.

It is not glamorous work, but it decides whether the attention you earn from posts and ads turns into enquiries. A reel can bring someone to your profile; an unclear bio, a broken link or a missing phone button can lose them in the next few seconds.

Who usually needs it

Almost every business benefits from a one-time clean-up, but it matters most in a few situations:

  • A new clinic, restaurant or coaching institute opening its first Instagram and Facebook presence and wanting it right from day one.
  • A real estate agency whose accounts were created years ago by different people, with old numbers, mixed branding and nobody sure who holds the passwords.
  • A D2C brand preparing to run ads, where the page, Instagram account and ad account need to be connected properly in Meta Business Suite first.
  • A B2B or logistics firm that needs a credible LinkedIn company page before approaching larger buyers.
  • Any business that has changed its name, logo, address or phone number and still shows the old details somewhere online.

What’s included

The exact scope depends on which platforms you use, but a typical engagement covers:

  • Profile basics: business name, handle, category, bio written for clarity, and profile and cover images sized correctly for each platform.
  • Contact paths: call, email and WhatsApp buttons, website and booking links, and a link page if you need several destinations.
  • Highlights and pinned content: story highlights for services, prices-on-request, location, reviews and FAQs, plus pinned posts that introduce the business.
  • Business details: hours, service areas, menus or service lists, and consistent information across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Ownership and access: a Meta Business Suite (Business Manager) set up in your name, with page, Instagram and ad accounts connected and team roles assigned properly.
  • Security basics: two-factor authentication enabled and recovery details updated, so the accounts stay yours.

How we deliver it

  1. Audit: we review each existing profile and list what is missing, outdated or inconsistent, including who currently has admin access.
  2. Access: you add us as a partner or admin; we never ask you to hand over ownership, and we recommend you never do that with anyone.
  3. Draft: we prepare bios, highlight covers and business details and share them for your approval.
  4. Apply: once approved, changes are made across every platform in one pass so the details match everywhere.
  5. Hand-over note: you receive a short record of which accounts exist, who has which role and how to recover each one.

Tools and platforms

Most of the work happens inside the platforms’ own tools: Meta Business Suite for Facebook and Instagram, LinkedIn’s page admin, YouTube Studio and the Instagram app itself. Profile images, covers and highlight icons are designed to your brand guidelines, or we can create simple ones with our graphic design team if you don’t have them yet.

What affects timeline and cost

  • Number of platforms and whether each needs creating from scratch or only cleaning up.
  • Access problems: recovering an account locked to a former employee or an old agency can take time, because it depends on the platform’s own recovery process.
  • Brand assets: whether logos, colours and photography already exist or need to be created.
  • Verification steps that the platforms may require for business accounts or ad accounts.
If an account is owned by someone who has left, tell us early. Recovery is usually possible but is rarely instant, and it should be sorted before any paid campaign starts.

Common mistakes we fix

  • Accounts created on a personal profile or an agency’s Business Manager instead of the business’s own.
  • Bios that describe the brand’s values but never say what it actually sells or where.
  • WhatsApp links pointing to a number nobody checks, or a website link that goes to a dead page.
  • Different logos, names or phone numbers on different platforms, which makes a business look less trustworthy.
  • Duplicate Facebook pages created by accident over the years, splitting reviews and followers.

Frequently asked questions

Will you own my accounts?

No. The accounts, pages and Business Manager are set up in your business’s name. We work as a partner or admin with only the access the work requires, and you can remove us at any time.

Can you recover an account an old agency or employee controls?

Often, yes, but it depends on the platform’s recovery process and the proof of ownership available. We guide you through it and cannot promise a fixed timeframe, because the platform makes the final decision.

Is this a one-time service?

Usually. Most businesses need a proper setup once, then a light review whenever details change. It is also included at the start of our monthly social media management plans.

Which platforms do you cover?

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube are the most common. We focus on the platforms your customers actually use rather than creating accounts everywhere.

Do I need a Meta Business Suite account?

If you use Facebook or Instagram for business, especially with ads, it is strongly recommended. It keeps ownership clear and lets you give team members or agencies limited access without sharing passwords.
